Rico Lascano
Rico Lascano is a Filipino painter known for calm, contemplative works shaped by space, silence, and stillness. Drawing on water, sky, and other natural elements, he creates restrained abstract surfaces that invite reflection rather than spectacle.
Born in the Philippines in 1958 and based in Manila, Lascano earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts, major in Visual Communication, from the University of the Philippines, where he also received an Outstanding Thesis Award. His practice reflects a sustained interest in quietude, nature, and subtle emotional resonance.
Lascano has presented solo exhibitions in the Philippines and abroad, including at the Philippine Center in New York, and his works are held in notable public and institutional collections. For Chelra Art’s clients, his paintings offer atmosphere, restraint, and a contemplative presence well suited to refined interiors and thoughtfully designed spaces.
